SP Page Builder 3 years ago

Hi

as noted on archive.joomshaper.com/forums/advanced-module-manager (but it was fixed before it broke again) all the assignments you define in AMM are ignored when the module is placed inside a SP page builder page.

I doesn't work with joomla 3.10.9, AMM 9.1.5 and SP Page builder 3.8.6 I don't know when it broke since I just saw the issue

Can you confirm please? thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience. I think your AMM extension is not compatible with the Page Builder. I have checked Joomla default module with the page builder module addon

-Thanks

Hi

AMM team replied:

"*I guess this is a pot-kettle situation. Advanced Module Manager is not compatible with Page Builder. Or Page Builder is not compatible with Advanced Module Manager. I have no idea what SP is doing under the hood and how they are collecting and generating the modules."

But does it mean that we cannot use the 2 extensions together ? This is most unfortunate since AMM is also a major joomla extension

If you try to check the Joomla default module then you will understand.

I think you you should contact your extension provider.

Hi Toufiq

yes we contacted them and they finally replied : "Well, probably too technical to get into. And like I said before, I have no idea what SP is doing under the hood and how they are collecting and generating the modules.

But it means that you cannot use the 2 extensions together."

is it the end of the discussion ?

Did you try to load Joomla default two modules?

Hello Toufiq, I made another test WITHOUT Advanced Module MAnager and I discovered that the issue exists with the native joomla module manager.

Please create your issue on this URL and let me know. Please don't use the AMM extension.

Please ignore to use main menu. Cause, If you use the multilingual then it will not work. You should assign your module language wise. Thanks

on your site you still have the SAME issue: I set the Language Switcher Page Builder module to be visible on the en/article-en AND I set the Language Switcher module to NOT be visible on this en/article-en page

But at the end http://helix-framework.org/helixj3v205/en/article-en you still see the module !

So you see that the module asignment on the language switcher is not taken into account when placed in a SP module.

please do not change what I set : the Language Switcher Page Builder HAS to be active on http://helix-framework.org/helixj3v205/en/article-en

and the Language Switcher module has to be inactive on this page

you deactiavted the Language Switcher Page Builder module so of course you didn't see the issue :)

As you can see again on http://helix-framework.org/helixj3v205/en/article-en the Language Switcher module is still visible where it should not

thanks

Toufiq I KNOW how to set up modules visibility. I explained you at least 3 times the issue: why can't you just read it ?

the issue is simple : the visibility settings of a module are ignored when placed inside a SP module

this is why I purposely set the SP module visibility to ALL pages while I set the language switcher module visibility differently.

you really have an issue here since only the SP module visibility is taken into account

thanks for really reading what I wrote
