Custom Fields In 4

SP Page Builder 3 years ago

Hi, I am assuming no since there is nothing in change log but just in case I missed it. Can I use custom fields in articles with SP Page Builder 4?

If not is there any plans to add that functionality, at least to be able to add shortcodes? My current site uses about 15 custom fields and it would be really nice to be able to access them without having to use Overrides. tbh, I can't image ever doing a site where site relevent data wouldn't be needed. Yo be fair I am more a data guy than a web one, so maybe its just not done. Cheers

Hi SPD,

I tested Custom fields in Helix Ultimate on Joomla 4 with SPPB 3.8.7 and they works. They are displayed above the article content, yes with SPPB integration enabled.

Here is evidence (example Media field in Edit Article view)

So be to honest, I don't understand where the problem is.

Sorry, that was my bad for not being specific. I can have them display Below title, above article, below article but that is it, that is all the control I have over them, from what I could find

I cannot use them inside the article in any way, again as far as I understand it. I can't use shortcodes inside the SP PB Pro add-on, which for me mean the SP PB Pro isn't really supporting them. It just doesn't stop them from behaving normally.

If have misunderstand something please let me know. Currently I have used CSS to at least have them horizontal without bullet points and using padding but ideally I would love to have a Row with add-in displaying the content of the custom field which is what I was asking. I am just trying to avoid using overrides as I am not familiar at all with the process. Cheers and again apologies if I wasn't clear
