SPPB V4.01 Button Link To A File But There No Function To Open Media Manager

Hello!

Using the button add-on, what if I want to link the button to a file like PDF, Zip, Docx, etc? There's no way that I'm able to access the media manager:

https://monosnap.com/file/a6VtipRUPUNzc2isUyc93YrPtAWWPi

Please don't tell me to go the backend and upload your file then place the link under URL, that is definitely not a solution.

How should I create a button with link to a file when I want to prompt users to download a file?

Thanks,

Jackson

Hello there,

Thanks for contacting us and please take our sincere apology. There is no function to link a button to file like PDF, Zip, Docx in the SPPB 4 now. But you will get this function on the next update. The developer team is working on it. And you will get the next update soon. Please, stay with us.

-Regards

If I may...

I can also confirm it was added to wish/bug list few days ago, before you noticed that. So I hope in 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 update should be added "back" to Button addon.

This 4.x line is still a fresh product so it's still improved, fixed etc. If you decide to use it on production site you have to somehow survive small inconveniences by now.
