Main Body 3x6x3 Problem

SP PB Pro v3 Please confirm that if I don’t use Left and Right Modules on every page, then my only Layout option for Main Body is 4x4x4

I say this because I changed the Layout > Main Body > Grid settings to 3x6x3 Left = col-lg-3 Component = col-lg-6 Right = col-lg-3

My home page will look as I wanted as it has a left and right modules https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TWrxXSZ6K8kspyXQAVZi0Wm9465M5uLS/view?usp=sharing

The problem starts when I go to any other page which does not have left and right modules… This is how it looks with 3x6x3 with no left right modules https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UgP1zNPmWa8gczGLDfQVQ8sqPU9Kr271/view?usp=sharing

This is what I expect it to look like https://drive.google.com/file/d/13gxUb3oJaK0LmFNUffQBFswd5ZAP22pC/view?usp=sharing

Now, if I change the Layout > Main Body > Grid settings to Inherit… it will look fine throughout the site but my Home Page is back to 4x4x4 which is not what I want https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hp3XllDpdCBlb2kcC99f8lMXLuopmAk6/view?usp=sharing

Sgain, I am just asking for confirmation that this is expected behaviour and unless I have left and right modules on every page my only option is 4x4x4

If this works as I expect in version 4, please let me know and I will setup a test site Thank you

Hi there!

Thanks for your questions.

If you want different layout for different pages, then you can copy/duplicate the template style, so that you can have one with left/right module, another without left/right module. You can then assign your menu items to those template styles from the menu assignment tab.

Hope this helps anyways!

Best Regards

Ah, didn't know you could do that... sorry to be a bother could, give me an idea of where I could find info on that please? I did have a look at the Helix docs but wasnt sure what 'section' I should be focusing.

So much to learn about with Helix and SP PB :-)

Hello,

No worries:)

You can go to the template styles and make a copy of the style. After that you have to go to your new template styles and create difference in layout section as per your requirements.

Here is the related doc: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/helix-ultimate-2/template-manager-tips

https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/helix-ultimate-2/layout-builder

If you face difficulties to follow the instructions, or they are not so clear, let me know I will try to send you some screenshots.

Best Regards
