SPB 4.0.3 Media Manager Not Showing Folders

I am running Joomla 3.10.11 with SPB 4.0.3 in test lab (coming from SPB 3.8.8). In SPB 3.8.8 all images are stored and sorted in folders. If I start the media manager (SPB 4.0.3) I can see All Items, Images, Videos, Audios, Attachments and Folders as buttons at the side. All selections are working fine excapt the Folders button. If I click Folders for a short time there is the message "No Icon found" and then all Elements of the Media Manager are gone.

Hi Toufiq

I did a fresh copy of my homepage and did the update from 3.8.8 to 4.0.3.

Now the presentation of the folder are correct and the features are available.

Thank you for your support. Best Regards

Hi Toufiq

there are two videos. The first with SPB3.8.8 the second with SPB4.0.3. There was only the installation of SPB4.0.3 inbetween. Nothing else. https://www.dropbox.com/s/j0b27kgkjhc3733/Folder%20SPB3.8.8.mp4?dl=0

Hi, this is not possible because the test environment is not connected to the Internet.

Hi Toufiq, I was able to start the Edit Mode and open the Media Manager. I can see all folders and can see the Images if I go deeper into the structure.

Again, what I did is to update only a running SPB3.8.8 with the package of SPB4.0.3 and it is not possible to see the folders anymore. All other features of the Media Manager like All, Images, etc. are working.

By the way I can see your example is of SPB4.0.2

Also this version is working. My test system is based on wamp64. So I have full access to all elements. Is there someting else to test?

To be honest the version 4.0.3 is so buggy that I dont like to update my live system. Up to now I have 5 open bug discriptions.

But in case I will do, what is the best solution to go back to SPB3.8.8 with low risk?

You will lose your data if you roll back previous version. Cause, we have decalred in release post there is no way to downgrade.

Create an staging site to test live.

  1. Create a subdomain from your cPanel
  2. Export your existing site Database from PHPMyAdmin
  3. Create a new Database
  4. Import the existing Database to the new Database
  5. Update configuration.php file
  6. Go to the administrator of the staging site
