Folders And Files Missing In Media Manager

SP Page Builder 5 days ago

Hi, I did a fresh install of Joomla 5.4.3 and SP Pagebuilder 6.3.0 yesterday. PHP 8.4.18, Template is Nestfund (downloadet and installed yesterday).

However, in the media manager of Page Builder, the existing folders and images (visible in Joomla Media manager) is not visible/accessible.

Could you please check and suggest a solution? See screenshot for further details.

Best regards, Jan Korshavn

Hello Jan Korshavn and Janosch,

Thank you for reaching out to our technical support forum. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing. Please set Path to Files as Images in Media configuration. Then you will be able to browse all files from media options in SP Page Builder.

Please follow the documentation for more:

SP Page Builder Media Manager

Best regards

Hallo Ofi Khan,

thank you for your anser. Your wrote:

Please set Path to Files as Images in Media configuration.

So, this is maybe a short workaround, but this can not be the solution! (and it solves just a part of the problem..)

because:

Then you will be able to browse all files from media options in SP Page Builder.

That's unfortunately wrong. If I set the option for files to the path /images, then I have access to the folder /images in Pagebuilder, but no access to the folder /files. What I need is, that I have access to all my media through Pagebuilder. So I need access to both folders / images and /files.

Joomla introduced this new /files folder for some reason and it can't be a solution to 1.) change importand core-settings in a "wrong way" and 2.) only have access to "half" of the Joomla-Media.

Kind Regards

Hi Ofi,

Thx for your update, that worked fine. But as this has not been an issue in previous versions (as far as I have seen), no wonder we thought something was wrong.. ;-)

Best regards, Jan

There were some issues and we have fixed that on Media Manager. In the future, this issue will not happen. Please keep both Path to Files and Path to Images location set to Images.

I have a humble request. It would be very kind of you if you can manage some moment to give us feedback on

  1. Joomla Extension Directory
  2. TrustPilot

This will inspire us to improve.

In the future, this issue will not happen.

What do you mean by this exactly? Will a future upgrade fix this, so that we can have access to both folders?

Please keep both Path to Files and Path to Images location set to Images.

This is a strange advice, and I can't change the path to files permanently to images. I can do it temporarily for now, but it's not satisfysing for me.

There is an update about the issue. I have talked to the developer team. The team will fix the issue on the future release. Then you will be able to browse images in SP Page Builder media manager with path to files set to files. For now, please set it to Images to access the images in SP Page Builder.
