Hi,

While using 'Helix Ultimate 2.0' I have this issue on all of my sites:

  • Site is offline via Joomla Config
  • Coming soon is disable
  • The 'coming soon' textfield still pops up every time I make a change to helix ultimate
  • Also the coming soon picture stays visible when coming soon is disabled

Would be interesting to use the coming soon part, but be able to keep the settings you have. So the countdown timer disabled now = countdown timer disabled after next save of changes (unless you change the countdown timer).

Now every change resets stuff in coming soon.

If I may....

As I remember we have in plans to rebuild the Comming soon page in one of upcoming updates.

Right now, you have to add some extra custom CSS to change design. and I agree that offline mode is more usefull.

But in my projects - I use differnt method... I put SPPB Page as default for time of development. Whole rest are hidden for guests. It take me few minutes more, but it's more flexible and robust.

IF I use this at a site, it is because the site is supposed to show the message, so I rather not share any site details. Can be checked on and site with just Helix Ultimate 2.0.

I have to setup a specific site for testing this if you really need access.

Done:

  • Set site offline in system - global configuration
  • Check, site shows offline message + countdown timer (without 'coming soon' enabled in template)
  • Go to Helix ultimate template options
  • Go to basis, coming soon
  • Enable and delete all fields (coming soon title, text, data)
  • Countdown timer = gone
  • Now change anything within Helix Ultimate (adjust module positions, add custom Css, whatever)
  • Save
  • Countdown timer is back

Can't test fuhrter, being blocked by server firewall :(

Do you want a countdown timer without any text? Or can you share a screenshot that you want to do exactly? If possible by Helix then I will help you definitely.

Sorry, but you seam to be missing the point, which is:

  • 'Coming soon page' is enabled by default (even when disabled) as soon as you put site offline
  • Coming soon pages values (when deleted because I dont want the coming soon page in some scenarios) are reset after each and every change in Helix Ultimate.

  • Seams to me that something is not working as intended.

My solution? Delete all Helix Ultimate stuff for the coming soon page with CSS. But I guess the real issue should be something programmable within the template.

That also works. Personally I know how to 'work around' this issue. I am not stating the above to receive help myself, just to make a bug known. Topic can be closed!
