We talk about JCE editor, not SPPB.

What do you mean JCE is not working? I have SPPB 3.8 on my private site and I still can use JCE Pro Editor in Text addons.

i have installed fortune_quickstart_j4_v2.0.0.zip from scratch. i am no beginner in the meantime.

when i create a textbox for example, no jce is displayed. see picture.

in the vers. 3.x of fortune this works.

Joomla Custom module is from Joomla core, it's not our code (it wasn't also overriden by us), so this time we are not responsible for the lack of an editor there.

Just check if your Admin User has JCE editor set as default.

and I hope you are using JCE 2.9.29

I guess you have to talk with JCE developer this time, as I said before Custom Modules and Article component are from Joomla core, not from Joomshaper.
