I gace with the issue that sometime an Joomla article can't edit with SPPB4. To be clear, of cource the Pagebulder Joomla Article Integaration is on.

To reproduce this issue follow the steps below.

Fistr of all be sure you not logedin at the frond- and back-end of the the site.

  1. Login on the backend.
  2. Goto Articles
  3. Make a new article
  4. Save the article
  5. In the Artilce switch over to SP Pabebuilder.
  6. You will see now a 404 error.
  7. In the admin part goto component > SP Page builder.
  8. Select a page you like to edit.
  9. You need now to login on the front-end
  10. After login close the pagebuilder page
  11. Goto to Content > Article
  12. Edit the Article
  13. Edit the content in Pagebuilder
  14. Now you can edit the page properly.

The error has todo with the fact that your now logedin at the front-end. It seems that if your not logedin at the frontend, you get an error. I expected an Login page. Why is that not the situation and how to solve?

Also is there an easy way to add a new article to the front-end? Now it is very confusing for endusers. Especially when they are using blog.

Hello Ginius

Thanks for reporting this bug. I have informed the developer team for checking the issue. You can use menu item type Create Article for adding article from the frontend. But unfortunately, SP Page Builder option is not available there. Normal Joomla article can be added only.

Best regards

Understand. But looking from the perspective from a end-user. How should be the work flow to make increadable blog posts?

The current workflow seems to be not efficent and confusing. Please advice. I know @joomshaper you also place lot of blogposts.

Yes, but there are some limitations. Developers know better. They will find a way to improve this. Article edit 404 issue has been already addressed by the developers. It will be fixed in the next release which is coming soon.
