Joomla Content Short Description Ends Wired Character �

For asian characters, JOOMLA content short description (if limit the char number to 200 ), sometimes the paragraph will show wired character like �

Does this relate to the php function mb_strlen instead of using strlen when limiting how many letters to display?

What template name you have?

I saw similar case yesterday, and Article addon was overriden inside template with old code version.

so yes, in Gazette Articles addon was overriden by us.

And in line 344 and 348 of site.php file we used

this code should be updated by correct one.

  1. Please download file, unzip

site.zip

  1. Use FTP and upload site.php file here:

templates\shaper_gazette\sppagebuilder\addons\articles\

yes, replace file.

DELETE also two files with name "site copy.php, admin copy.php" if you have them, not needed!!
