Did you checked if all was compatible for update? I.e. did you update the template and all first before running the update?

I also had the FOF notice once, i downloaded something called lib_fof_3.8.1 from akeeba and installed it before the update...

I am not sure if there is an update for the template to make it ready for j4 (you can look this up at the template downloads here on the site of joomshaper... when you go to products, templates and then look up your template and check if there is a j3 as wel as a j4 icon there...)

Then restore your backup and update everything that's needed according to the update checker that you will see before updating.... Just download the a new version of the template and the FOF library and maybe other stuff that you see that's incompatible... Only when you did all that then try to update to joomla 4...

I always restore the backup on a test location, then try to update all and only when it has worked i make a new fresh backup of the updated website and restore that to live location :)

I do it this way...

Set up a test domain in localhost or on a testserver first...

Put your backup file (.jpa) there as well as akeeba kickstart.php

Also make a fresh database on your localhost or testserver...

Then go to the link: localhost/"folder-name/kickstart.php

Follow the steps, akeeba will guide you through it...

When you restored your "prior-update" backup then go to settings in joomla backend en with update channel choose next Joomla... Then it will give you a screen where you can see which extensions you would have to update before upgrading to joomla 4...

I hope it's clear this way...

You do not need to uninstall Educon template for the update. Just install the latest version on your site. If you face any error, share it here with screenshots. I would like to check and help you. Take a screenshot and share via any platform. For example: Lightshot
