hello,

i use the helix ultimate template with a 3.9 version. i became these error message while i try install a backup on a higher version of php 5.7 - our actual php version is 7.6 or higher. both did not work. there are always these syntax error:

0 syntax error, unexpected token "\"

Hi Henry,

in most cases problem is caused not by template itself, but extra plugin or module.

My suggestion is - in Global Configuration:

  1. System > Debug System : Yes
  2. Server Settings > Error Reporting > Maxium
  3. Save changes
  4. Preview site again, you should be able what file makes problem!

Helix Ultimate can work with PHP 7.0.x, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 and PHP 8.0.x. Use PHP 7.x for your website.

Please do not use PHP older versions! We cannot support them anymore.

Akeeba Backup has high technical requirements, especially PHP version. If you have an older version of PHP you cannot install or use that component anymore. You have to find very old version of extension.
