Hi. I have the problem with Pagebuilder release. When I try to upgrade the Joomla from release 3 to 4, the system! go in crash. In the upgrade information, there are many error for Pagebuilder upgrade. How can I fix this? Do I need to change my version of Pagebuilder? Follow this is the message from pre-upgrade check: Inside the "Potential Upgrade Issue" button there is this message: This extension includes a plugin that could cause the upgrade to fail.

To perform the Joomla upgrade safely you should either upgrade this extension to a version compatible with your target version of Joomla or disable the relevant plugin(s) and check again.

For more information about the relevant plugins please check the 'Live Update' tab.

Hi Riccardo, those two (2) warnings from Joomla update, are not errors! it's just Joomla informs that do not have information if those plugins works in J4 or not. But they work! Many users have SPPB 3.x on Joomla 4.2.x and all is 100% OK.

SPPB 3.x and SPPB 4.x work perfectly on Joomla 4.x - so you can update, after a full backup.

Yes, we informed about that in SPPB documentaion, but you missed that tip #3 >> https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3/basic-information-requirements

In general Joomla update/upgrade process is on your side only. I can only assure you that SPPB will work with Joomla 4, and this is not a problem this time.

All clear now?

Hi Paul,

I did on my website (running Joomla 3.x) all the latest updates, put it on a sandbox and from there started the test migration to Joomla 4.2.6. Result is:

0 Class "JDispatcher" not found

On the server protocol I find:

AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined variable $titleFontSize in ....

Please see full message in hidden Content.

Looks to me like issues related to pagebuilder. What do you think?

Best, Jochen

For sure you have to update Joomla after/before Joomla update, your version should be compatibile with J4. As I remember V3.0.0.

What SPPB Pro you have installed now?

if SPPB 4.0.x make sure that is 4.0.7 (latest)

PHP version?

Thanks for your reply, Paul.

SPPB is 4.0.7.

I tried PHP versions 8.0.27 and 8.1.14

The server protocol also says Error 500 GET / HTTP/1.0

So I think it's problem with template that is not PHP 8 ready yet.

Can you switch to PHP 7.4 by now.

Reverted back to PHP 7.4.33. That helped with the warnings. Will the template QUBIC be updated?

I still have the error: 500 GET / HTTP/1.0

The page doesn't open.
