Why is it so hard to show a full article with markup? The system is always wants to show introtext, which there isn't.

It seems like I need to put every article in a module, to be able to show it.

Instead of just selecting an article to show, it needs categories and everything.

Hi Seppe,

Sorry, if I didn't understand your question but ....

  • You can show a single article view using Menu item. Joomla default feature.
  • For Joomla there is also module HD-ArticleMod - that allow you to display whole article inside module area.
  • You can also use plugin Articles Anywhere (from RegularLabs)

For more, you have to ask on forum.joomla.org, on our forum we cannot change default Joomla core behavior.

AND

Rhetorical question: Why it has to be article, not something else?

Good afternoon Paul

For some reason, I don't seem to be able to show a full article on my website. The only way I was able to do it, is make an article in a module, and show it that way.

if I use the PageBuilder, it always starts with an introtext without markup. And that's about it.

Maybe use just Page - not Article - easier, no intro.

Under my "addons" I can only choose 'articles' or 'articles scroller'. I don't have the option 'page'

Why didn't you start from sentence ..."I am using SP Page builder.... I have question about ... " it would be faster ;)

So indeed none of our current addons do not allows you to show whole article content (or page), and ... if you want a good solution fast - just use module HD-ArticleMod (!) as I mentioned before, guessing your intentions. Yes, almost any module (also that one) can be displayed using Module addon (tested!).
