SP Page Builder 2 years ago

I am facing Problems with Page Builder Pro after I puchased a new subscription. I downloaded the latest version updated on my site and the site crashed with ERROR 1064 After consulting the Host they told me to go and see what needs to be fixed on SP side. The message 1064 states: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your Maria DB server version for the right syntax to use near '27) ORDER BY 'llft' ACS' at line 3

Later and after restore the site to a earlyer time stamp it produced a new ERROR 1146. The site was and ist running on Joomla 4.0.2. No plan, we choose a older update and now it is running like before - without error and update.

I won't try a new SP update until we solved this problem. Thanks for looking into this issue soon and kind regards Monika

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you decide later to update and face the same problem, then uninstall and reinstall will help.

You may follow this:

  1. At first, keep a backup of your site
  2. Then delete your SP Page Builder database table
  3. Uninstall the SP Page Builder extension from joomla administrator panel
  4. Make re-install after uninstall SP Page Builder extension

Best Regards

Hello Rashida

OK – I did the latest update, better the pro version subscription a few days ago – so not later, or what would you like to tell me? – I had in mind to update and go with the known procedure of updating SP Pagebuilder. It’s not the first update/renewal. What is different this time, that I have to face this kind of procedure with the risk of crashing the site again?

Is the latest version SP Pro not stable? What about updating to joomla 4.2.8 update and SP Pagebuilder? Besides, if it is, as stated by the Hosting company an error produced by SP… what different would it make to do it this way? Sorry, but before I invest more time and money I should be clear on that. Thanks and regards Monika

Hi,

If you have SP Simple Prortfolio then you can try this:

Please uninstall your SP Simple Portfolio component by 1st unpublishing your module/extension (from the Extensions\Modules tab) and trashing it.

Then go to Extensions tab again and navigate to "Manage" and find your SP Simple Portfolio extension, then unpublish it and then 'Uninstall' from menu option.

Download a fresh copy / package of the SP Simple Portfolio Extension from JoomShaper's Extensions Download page and reinstall, then recreate a module, and its content.

PS: you are basically then disassociating the original database associated with the template and allowing the Extension upon new installation to recreate a new / blank database that will work with current version of template

You can do the same with SP Page Builder also.

Hope this helps!

Note: Please take a full site backup before trying anything!

Best Regards
