Hi,

I am trying to upload a 99Meg video to run on my site. It goes through the uploading progress bar but stops at 100% and still says Uploading. I have changed all the Joomla setting needed to upload larger than standard files.

Hi Jamie,

the main question is: are you able to upload that huge file using Joomla Media (!) : Admin > Content > Media > Upload (button)

Let me know.

  • If yes, then you can use that file inside Video addon by adding full path to it, for example: /images/video/car.mp4
  • If not, ask on: forum.joomla.org

Two thumbs up! Thanks Paul. That fixed the issue. Upload it through Joomla, copy the link, presto.

OK, back to square one now. I have a video file .mpg, smaller than the one I have allready uploaded, and I cannot upload it. It is sitting there as I uploaded it througfh cPanel. SP Page Builder Pro will not see it.

Video addon by default doesn't support .mpg - only .mp4 and .ogv

Yes, from a technical point of view, you need to use video types that are supported by all browsers!

For example MP4 is now supported by all major browsers, also mobile ones.
