Mp4 Video's are Uploading But Not Showing.

Goodday,

I would like a mp4 video shown, but I can't select it. I can upload it but it won't show in the file list.

In joomla .mp4 files are allowed (options / media).

Anyone have an idea why Joomshaper doesn't show the file?

I have the last Joomshaper Pro installed.

Hi Johan Kooistra,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the inconvenience.

If you uploaded your video file using SP Page Builder’s Media Manager, all your uploaded videos can be found here:
SP Page Builder > Media Manager > Videos tab.
Here’s a reference screenshot: View Screenshot.

To add an MP4 video to the Video Addon, you can follow this example: View Example.

I hope this resolves your issue! If the issue persists, could you please specify where exactly you’d like to add the MP4 video?

Best regards

Good morning,

That's just the problem, I can upload the file with SP Builder, and you see it uploading but after that the screen is blank:

Normally I would think the file is blocked within Joomla, but I have it in the list.

Good morning,

Could you please check again by trying to upload the videos? It may take some time to upload, but it should work. Here's an example for reference:

Additionally, please review the duplicated page in the Hidden Content section.

Best regards

Unfortunately the problem remains, however, my file is 15,6 MB , could that be the problem?

Hi Johan Kooistra,

The issue seems to be related to your hosting server, which may not allow the upload of large files.

I tested this locally, and it worked fine with files around 10 MB. However, when I attempted to upload a zip file to your Media Manager, it also failed.

To resolve this, please increase your server's maximum file upload limit as needed(at least 20MB). You can do this through your hosting provider's settings. Once updated, this should resolve the issue.

Best regards

The file is present in de directories, I uploaded it through SP but I also uploaded it through FTP, the file is present and I can see the file in Joomla if I want to add a video in an article:

Just not in SP Builder .... so weird.

Dear Johan Kooistra,

Thank you for reaching out with your concern.

After discussing the matter with one of our developers, I’d like to clarify that, for some security reasons, video files uploaded via (FTP or Joomla media) are not accessible in the SP Page Builder media manager. To use your video, it must be uploaded directly through the SP Page Builder media manager.

Solution:
I noticed that your server currently allows uploads of up to 8MB. To resolve this, you will need to adjust the following settings in your php.ini file via your hosting settings:

upload_max_filesize = 20M
post_max_size = 20M

For reference, you can check this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/4r2Yp9FdMkYw.

Hopefully, this will resolve the issue. Please let me know if you need further assistance!

Best regards

Good afternoon,

The upload_max_filesize was 1Gb, so no problem there ;) The post_max_size was 8Mb, so I changed that to something large and it worked like a charm!

Amazing support! Thanks!
