Instead of using Helix Menu you used Navigation addon that doesn't have Drop Down feature. That addon was designed to be a basic menu, for one page site or as sidebar menu etc. And I cannot "fix" nor improve code on the forum, sorry. It's not a bug.

You have to find a module that have DropDown feature and use it, if you don't want to use Menu feature from helix itself.

That's all I can suggest by now.

For this menu, I didn't use a Navigation addon, but the usual "menu" module.

The answer is almost that same becuase defult Joomla menu module also doesn't have DropDown menu feature.

As I said before you have at least two options:

1. Use Menu from Helix Ultimate
2. Use addcional menu module that have that feature. Link I already shared.

In theory... you can play and try to use menu (navigation) classes from bootstrap 5 that have dropdown - I guess, even with classic J! menu module it may work.

I just shared idea ;)
