why in the module: Feature Box or Pricing table unable to link to pdf file? can it be somehow unsecured?

You should be able to add link manually. And it would work, I will test on my private site.

Accepted AnswerI made tests on Feature Box addon - and Button can be used for both standard link and link to document (pdf, docx) - worked pretty well, no issues.
