Login Menu Item Shows After Login has Been Completed

Hi, I am using Helix Ultimate (latest) and Joomla 4.3.3.

In pure joomla, i created a login menu item and logout menu item. Before login, the screen shows:

https://prnt.sc/5IY4j6E7v4TG

After login, the login menu item is gone and the logout button appears as below:

https://prnt.sc/jXVeSt5Q_ckd

With Helix Ultimate, Before login the screen shows:

https://prnt.sc/JD9KRQ_ZUAZy

After login, the screen shows the logout button and also shows the login button as below:

https://prnt.sc/eHWnxoO3SrOY

Its appears that the acl rule for the login menu item is ignored. Please advise how to correct this. The access to the website is given in the hidden section

Additionally, this forum logouts too quick too. I get this invalid token message. Sigh

Hello Murugappan Ramanathan

You do not need 2 menu items. I have unpublished the log out menu item. But the title will not be automatically log out.

Hello Afi Khan,

Honestly, that is not a solution. I have already done that before. If the title does not change, how will the user know how to logout? If you look pure joomla site (screen shot given earlier), it actually switches to logout menu item.

Does this simple mean that your Helix Ultimate template has messed up the joomla's login/logout function?

I have cheked it. In Joomla, the behavior is the same as Helix. How did you make it on Joomla? Please show the menu item settings.

(1) Please check the hidden contents for Joomla site (2) In Joomla site i created one Login menu item and another Logout menu item with different ACL (3) I tried the same method with Helix but did not work but you disabled the logout menu item.

(1) Why did Joomshaper meddle with way Joomla Login works? This is happening with nearly every template and i could not use any of them. (2) I tried putting the Falang Language Switcher in position "top2" and it does not work either. I put in the "menu" position and it works. Please check.

I did not have much problem when i used Joomla 3 and SPPB 3. I am so disappointed and afraid that all my websites may not be working once PHP 8.0 and Joomla 3 comes to a halt.

I have tried your trick on Helix Ultimate on my localhost. It works on my end but not on your site. Please take a full site backup with Akeeba Backup in ZIP format and share here. Follow this tutorial. I will check it further.

I have checked it on my localhost. Even with Casseopeia guest view pemitted menu does not show. Are you using any plugins that may change the user view permission? Please check all your third-party plugins. It does not seem to be our product issue.

Its odd. I gave you a zip file of the site and you ask me the question if i have installed any extensions. The only extension is SC Login and you can see for youself.

Never mind, it is already a given that the competency resolve this may not exist. We are already looking into other solutions.

Thank you for all the help.

I have tested all options. The feature works with Joomla native but not with Helix Ultimate 2.0.X. It appears that the template has modified the Joomla's native login function. I conclude this when i discovered that it has another plugin called "Sign-in".

As such, I am closing this subject based on the assumption that Joomla's native login will not longer work as designed with Helix Ultimate template. I am posting this so that others may get some clarity on the same issue.

Its odd that the forum does allow me to change the Subject.
