Hi Peter,

  1. Have you changed ACL for SPPB in Options ? It can be the only reason.

  2. Editor of that page has Super User, Administrator access or lower?

Error 403 = no access, no rights to do something.

For Example for Super User you should have

BTW

IN SPPB 5.0.7 ACL should be fixed, it may solve your problem if it's releated.

  2. Only in settings
  3. see hidden content

In both SPPB 5.x and SPPB 3.x you have access to front-end and back-end editor.

In SPPB 4.x it was only front-end editor.

Hi there! I found something that could work. It worked for me. I have the same issue, but only in a few sites. All the rest works fine. So, i found that deactivating the ModSecurity in the hosting admin panel (cpanel) solves the issue.

Hope it helps

Deactivating ModSecurity is not the answer. It works but takes away a security layer.

Bruno, create a new topic, becuase in that one is not yours, you shouldn't share access to your site here. Security reasons.

In new topic, include also those info:

  1. Joomla version
  2. SPPB Version
  3. PHP version
  4. Do you have Akeeba Tools Pro installed?
  5. Share access (Super User) in Hidden Content area

BTW If possible disable mod_security in CPanel (Hosting) for that domain.

Hello Paul,

would be great if you would have a look. PB is 5.4.4.

I don't understand this, too. My own site and some 2 demo sites on same hoster work, copy of this site and another do not work.

It seems, that it has to do with the firewall, there I found this:

But what does PB with the firewall on only saving settings?

In general, if you have Akeeba Tools Pro - it cause that problem, we informed about that in SPPB documenation. With Free (Core) version it shouldn't be.

Also Server Firewall also may cause problem. Mod_Security - settings. Contact with Hosting Support.

@Peter, I am able edit Pages using shared access, here is evidence ( I tested 3 pages)

only admin tools free editing pages is not the problem, only saving the global settings is not possible

I am waiting for feedback from hoster, but I do still not understand what saving settings in PB has to do with the firewall ...

Look up for the tips:

  1. Akeeba Tools Pro - can cause that problem
  2. Mod_Security - turn Off and recheck
