Google Webmaster Says Text To Small For Mobile

Hi all,

How do you all deal with the Google message "text to small for mobile"?

Personally I think it's a message there is no need for, 16px display on a mobile device is imo a normal size which suits most visitors.

Also the message "content wider the screen". I have on all pages left and right margin set to at least 10px on all addons or text blocks on mobile view. Nothing is wider then the screen. Sometimes Google webmaster is weird.

Just curious in general how you see or deal with this notification.

Czesc Robert,

  1. It's a task that requires detective skills, because google in its grandeur does not show where this error occurs. I think an accessibility audit tool would be better for this issue. Yes, 16px is OK, but maybe somewhere smaller font is "used" or definied at least.
  2. Over 90% webmasters have that same opinion. Sometimes the results are different from the day of the week, as if someone deliberately spoiled-repaired this tool.

In some cases using extra: overflow-x: hidden;

for container may help solve problem No2.
