Backend Editor not saving and showing any changes SP Page Builder 5.0.9

Asked by TomaszGrzechnik 3 years ago Last activity 2 years ago

Next problem...
I made many changes on site made by backend editor. After save and back to edited page there is no any changes!!!
When I try to do it by frontend editor all is ok, changes are saved but when I open beackend I see all before changes. Litlle strange and frustrating.

Has anyone noticed that no changes are shown and saved in the backend?

Hi there!

Sorry for your experience.

I have just checked with my SPPB 5.0.9 version and changes are reflecting here.

Would you please clear your Joomla and browser cache, then check again?

Which PHP version you are using there?

Best Regards

Hi Rashida,
Cache in Joomla and browser was cleared many times. Its first what I'm doing when are problems.
PHP 8.0

I see strange problem, article what I want to edit have paddlock on right, of course I click on it to unlock, but paddlock still exist. After that I see:"Action performed successfully".

On forum is new post with that same problem:
Bug In SP Page Biulder @Esteban

https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/27240

I think it's not only my problem.

And please explain me why when I refresh SP Page Builder Page (F5 in browser) I recive 404 error?

Original page:
https://siteadress/administrator/index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&view=editor&tmpl=component#/pages?filter=%7B%22limit%22%3A%2210%22%2C%22sortBy%22%3A%22title%22%7D&page=1

after clicking F5:
https://siteadress/?option=com_sppagebuilder&view=editor&tmpl=component#/pages?filter=%7B%22limit%22%3A%2210%22%2C%22sortBy%22%3A%22title%22%7D&page=1

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response.

It seems access issue at my end.

Do you get any error while save in the backend editor, please? I get 403 error popup there (request failed with code 403).

Kindly do let me know.

Hi,

Thanks for the access. It's working easy and sound for me now.

I can edit with the backend editor and it is showing the changes in the site fine. I have attached a screencast video in the hiddeen content box for you to check.

Best Regards

Try to disable Modsecurity at your hoster and then edit the page. I have had this happen more than once.

Thanks for reply Rashida, but nothing changed....
Of course, when I try to edit addon on Page "Strona główna OLD" > Section Logo> Text Addon I can edit like you.
Next I press "Save" on top.
After that changes are made, but... When I open Page again all changes disapear.
On your screencast you didn't back to edited page to check is changes are saved.

When you will try to check, keep in mind that Page "Strona Główna OLD" is set as hidden position in menu.
Please don't change anything on other pages.
Next please try to change addon name from "Text block" to other name.

Do you have regular backups? Can I take one and try to make changes at my end?

Did you try to disable mod_security and check as well?
