Missing Feature In Modal Popup

This post is for SPPB Version: 5.1.6.

In the Addon "Modal Popup" the "Alt Text" field is not available when adding a Background Image.

Expectation: When changing in a Modal Popup the Background Options to Image an "Alt Text" field must be available.

Solution: Copy the Source Code from the Addon "Image" -> adapt it -> test it -> roll it out -> Happy customer ;-)

In the Addon "Modal Popup" the "Alt Text" field is not available when adding a Background Image.

Hi BOFHJunior.

You are wrong. Alt Text should not be exist for the background image, as it is just a decoration = css property background-image: url(/images/your-image.jpg);.

Alt Text applies only to the IMG HTML tag but not to the background image CSS.

Hello Toufiq, i dont understand the question.

As i wrote i use SPPB Version: 5.1.6 and in the Addon Modal Popup there is the above feature missing. So its not good for SEO to have no Alt Text available.

It is very simple like i wrote in another posting.

All addons must have the same useful features related on their type.

"Alt Text" must be available for all Addons related to images.

"Open in lightbox" must be available to all Addons related to images.

and so on and so on :-)

Update: CSS rules wise there is no way to add alter text on Background image. Thanks

Hello Toufiq, i don't want to use the hole day CSS. I like an alt Text entry in the Addon "Modal Popup" because i can add there an image. Using an image without an alt text is SEO unfriendly.

I repeat again my customer wish: All addons must have the same useful features related on their type. "Alt Text" must be available for all Addons related to images. "Open in lightbox" must be available to all Addons related to images. and so on and so on :-)

Joomshaper propagades everywhere how easy it is. Everybody can create a website. Its such a great product. Now after i invested over 300 learning hours in my first website i can say, NO, Joomshaper is not easy because in one addon is something possible, thats not in the other possible and so on. One thing is responsive and the other thing not. One option i can change for every device, another only for all devices... I have a long buglist but no time to play Beta tester and write all bugs into the forum.

Make the product please more better for the customers and then you can propagade how good it is.

But as Pavel informed me it is not useful for a Background Image and i learned something new. Thx goes to Pavel.
