WHOLE PAGE BUILDER LANDING PAGE GONE

Robert

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

I was working on a page for days, doing the last save on an textblock addon, the page frooze and now everything is gone. Whole page is empty now, also in Page Builder backend editing. Gone!!! How??

This is for sure the worst thing I have ever seen during building a page, hours and hours of work gone as of my trust in SPPB5.

Updated tables, databases, reinstalled SPPB5. Al my hard work nowhere to be found in the system. I have created many JS based websites but never experienced this!

Deleted the hidden login details.

Since there is no response I had to place back an earlier backup. Almost a whole day work gone. I can't wait more then a day for a reply every time. Work must go on. Why again this subscribion has increased $109,- in price?

Have a nice day!

Hello Robert

Apology for the inconvenience. Please take a full site backup with Akeeba Backup in ZIP format and share here. Follow this tutorial. I will check it on my localhost.

Also, share the steps that you have done. I will check in the same way.

Best regards

I have got the backup installed on a subdomain now on a live server. Is that better for you? At least you got the same environment as it happened.

If that workes for you:

The steps: Actually nothing special. No updating, no changes in the config or something. Just playing with styling on of the textblocks on the homepage.

When hitting "save", the page frooze. No response at all. After 2 minutes I refreshed the page and whole page was gone. Only the menu was there. In the whole system the SPPB created page was gone, in backend and frontend. Like it was never there. All I can say. Really nothing to be found, except the custom saved addons and saved rows. Those were not lost.

Worked for about a day without making a backup, thought I would do that next.. unfortunaly too late.

In short, I did nothing more then some styling some addons in the frontend.

Hope you can find some what could have caused it, a crash, freeze or bad server response can always happen. But the saved work should not be vanished.

Hi, you had the chance to take a look? Slowly building further on this site (Backup) and so far no issues anymore. could it have been server related? Can a crash/no response of a server result in such loss?

It could be related to your server configuration. Hopefully, your site is okay now.
