I updated my Joomla to version 5 and now SP PAGE BUILDER does not work. I enter a page created by SP PAGE BUILDER to modify an element and I get the following message:

Unhandled Runtime Error TypeError: Cannot set properties of undefined (setting 'external_plugins')

Please open the browser console for more information!

Hola Carlos,

SP Page Builder 3.8.x can work only in Joomla 3.10 and Joomla 4.4. The last update was on May 2023. That's why it doesn't work in Joomla 5.0 and will not. And getting ahead of your question, support for SPPB 3.8 has ended, so there will be no new versions in this series.

You have TWO options:

  1. Recover site from backup and keep Joomla 4.4 ( stable & supported version for next 12 months)
  2. OR, install SPPB 5.1.7

If I install the SPPB 5.1.7 version, will I be able to keep the pages created? Should I export the created pages and then import them in SPPB 5.1.7 version?
