EasyStore: New Categories Not Showing Up After Deleting All Of Them

Hello,

EasyStore 1.0.5

I deleted all of the categories by going to Select Status, which I chnaged to Trashed and Empty Trash [I had 1 category Shop not in Trash] except that after Emptying Trash, I am getting the No Categories Found, Create a new Category...

I created a Test Category nothing shows up....

Yet as you can see from this screenshot the entries exists in the database :/ ;(

???

When will EasyStore reliable, almost every 3rd or 4th thing I do requires that I create a ticket?

Sincerely,

E.

Hi Martin,

I appreciate you are trying to help but I'm not new to this.

I have cleared cache, cookies, local storage and that does not the fact that it did this and did not work.

I ended up going into the database and deleting the entries there and a bunch of things that I should never have to and eventually, I got it to behave as expected.

Like I said, not ready for primetime and should be more stable for a paid software. Sorry if we don't see eye to eye on this particular point but we the paying customers should not be QA, testing at such a basic level... there should already be a much more stable level of the software or it should not be a release version or an Alpha or Beta release - had it been released as beta software, I would probably not have bought it but I also would not have an expectation of working on a live website software. :)

Hello Eleanora,

Your assessment that this is an alpha version is your subjective assessment. And not following netiquette (as in your other posts) but swearing and ranting.... no comment. :)

You had the opportunity to test the Allura template free of charge for 14 days. You could have checked the whole store to see if you wanted to buy it or not. Then to buy it and complain about the simplest things... no comment. :)

I am also not completely satisfied with JoomShaper's approach. It would have been better, like SPPB5, if the community could have tested an alpha and beta version beforehand. But it is what it is. They do everything they can to fix bugs as quickly as possible and are always friendly both here in the forum and on FB. And a German proverb says: As it rings in the forest, so it rings out ;)

best regards

Hi Martin and Eleanora,

I can actually agree with both of you. Joomshaper should test their products more thoroughly before they release it or release alpha/beta versions to their customers. But I also agree that they listen to their customers and try to fix the bugs or add the wanted functionality quickly. But it is the wrong order, because there are a lot of bugs / missing functionality that would have been discovered before release if they had an alpha / beta programm.

Joomshaper should take their lessons from this and put more effort in testing in the future.

My best regards, Peter

Hello Peter,

the way with SPPB5 has shown that it would work to involve the community in advance. Especially with something so big and new, it would be great if it could be tested beforehand. As you say, this saves a lot of work and frustration afterwards.
