Custom 404

Hello,
I'm trying to create a custom 404 page.
I read your pamplet about how important a good 404 page is: https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/create-a-custom-joomla-404-page-with-sp-page-builder
Why can't you just link to a pb page, the "options" for the page are ridiculous?
I have to customize this in 3 styles and in the frontend neither the background color is displayed, nor (thank God) the white font color, no menu, no footer... just 404 and the logo...
I followed the instructions here but it doesn't work in the current one?
What do I have to do for a real one?

Accepted Answerno thanks "html.error-page body { background: #fff}" I can do it myself. then I'll look for another solution for a nice 404

Thanks for contacting us. On the coming soon page you don't get any header OR footer. You will get only the logo, title, and content if the template you have used has this option otherwise not. But for the background color, I can solve it via CSS if you want. For this, I need your site URL to check.
