Investa Template - Custom 404 Page

Hello,
I followed the instruction in this blog (https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/create-a-custom-joomla-404-page-with-sp-page-builder) to create a custom 404 page. Once I have updated the error.php with the code, I get an error 500. I have seen in other threads that the code is basically working fine. I turned on debugging and error reporting and copied the latest error message to the hidden content section.
May I ask you for your guidance please?
