Hi,

the answer is very simple. In Joomla 4.4 and Joomla 5.0.x classic Search component was removed. It doesn't work anymore. Joomla Core Developers forced webmasters to use SmartSearch component only.

Hopefully, there is unoffcial fix on GitHub made by Joomla Team member that can fix it for J4 sites. Download & Install: pkg-search-4.1.0.zip

If you have "Deprecated: html_entity_decode" messages you have two options:

1. Hide showing errors in Global Configuration > Server > Error Reporting : None
2. Or switch to PHP 8.1 or 8.0, this "fix" Search package may not support PHP 8.2 / PHP 8.3

But as I said before, I cannot support not our extension.

3. Or, Change from Search to SmartSearch, both component and module.
