Allura Template - 403 Permission Error On Homepage

Hello - Why do I encounter this page when I access my website? The homepage in the menu is set to public and the permissions seem fine. Once I click the Home button (yellow), I'm able to get to my homepage just fine, but this page shows up first every time. How do I disable this page?

Hi Nader,

Back again - if you are not using EasyStore/the e-Commerce aspect of it AFTER making a backup of your FTP files and MySQL database of course, I would simply uninstall EasyStore - never leave a component/module or plugin that you don't actually use. It's a bad idea from possibly an SEO and definitely a security point of view.

{ and if EasyStore isn't in there, it should resolve your weird redirect URL issue }

I can't believe I didn't think of simply uninstalling the component lol. Thank you. That worked perfectly, and i'm not longer having that error. Have a wonderful and safe new years!

Hi Nader,

[ I do not work for JoomShaper ].

If I go to the link that you posted, it redirects me to:

https://new.jondavidsalon.net/index.php?option=com_config&view=component&component=com_easystore

and if I check the Web Console under Inspect Element, I see this 404 error:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () https://new.jondavidsalon.net/templates/allura/css/presets/%7B

If I load directly: https://new.jondavidsalon.net/index.php the site comes up correctly.

I hope that this helps you figure it out...

Hi E. - That's interesting. I wonder why it's redirecting to that URL if I just put the simple straight forward URL. Thanks for some insight! I'll check it out. In the meantime, maybe someone working on the template can guide me further because I end up wasting so much time trying to figure things out when I'm sure it's a simple fix.

The message will be displayed if no registration key is entered in the EasyStore options ;)

Hi Martin, hmm, ok so what if I'm just using the template because I like the look and feel of it, but am not using it for ecommerce? I'm not using easystore. How do I bypass this? Any idea?

When I saw your website, I wondered why you would want to implement this with a shop template if you don't integrate a shop.

I would rather advise you to use the "Barber" template.

There is another option for Allura:

Install a pure Joomla installation, then still install SPPB and only the template "Allura". You won't have any content, but you will have the template. You install the quickinstall of Allura on another subdomain. You then have the option of exporting individual existing pages.

But I would be careful with this, because a lot of the content in the samples is linked to EasyStore.

Just try it out and you'll see if you're happy with it or if you need to switch to a different template.

I've already started using and customizing this template and put in a lot of work. I'm sure there's a way to bypass this so that anyone going to the website will go directly to the homepage like any other website. There has to be. At least I hope so. I really don't want to start over :(
