Thanks, but that doesn't answer the question.

There is a description field, but this field does not appear in the front-end, why? how to display the content of the description field of a category, on the category page in front-end?

In your documentation : Provide a description for the category. This description can help customers understand what types of products are included in this category.

But then this field is of no use at all? what is its use?
