In Helix 3, Article Carousel (Scroller) Addon Doesn't Filter Tags?

I have a website with Joomla 5.1 and would like to know if there is any way with the Article Carousel (scroller) that it can be filtered with both category and tags. right now only option is tags. The Article Add On does both but doesn't do vertical layout. A solution to either would be helpful
