EasyStore 1 year ago

Hi, Today I bought EasyStore. Goal is to go from J2store to EasyStore. The J2store shop website is for a year now disabled for customers. I make use of the migration toool from next-cart.com. This whas before I read that Joomshaper also has a migration tool.

The goal is : take the data from a joomla 3.10.12 and J2store website Get it in some way to Easystore. Than upgrade everythig to the latest version en get live! work done.

Now the migrationtool gennot get everyting off the website, I understand that Joomshaper canot hel ith that, But when I try to install Easystore I get an error:

Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Factory::getContainer()

I have tried the latest version and the second version. I have also swiched from php 8,1 to 8,0 hoped that was the solution. Now I am stuck, I don't know what the error means and how to solve this.

Do you have some tips or a solution for me please?

Hi Rob,

As we informed in documenation of Easystore - it can be installed ONLY on Joomla 4 or Joomla 5 >> https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/easystore/system-requirements

It means that first you have to update J2Store to new version, upgrade Joomla then you can use migrator.

Hi Paul, I am stuck at all sides. Updating j2store brakes the website. Update to joomla 4 brakes it also becaus of j2store. This is what I have tried for a year now. all tings I try results in a broken website. Al that I need are the 180 products I made earlier. The rest of the website is not interesting. Oke you are not the fault. I will upgrade to J4 just to get the J2store data out of the website. Tips are welcome,,

First of all - do all those migration steps on TEST subdomain, no REAL website.

Yes, first J3 > J4 - then other steps.

O My Goodness,,,I am almost done. I updated all components to the latest version. Updated Joomla to 5 latest. Installed the latest pagebuilder and easy store. Worked true the migration manager. And the backend is still stabile.

The front gives an error"0 class JarrayHelper not found". But I never went this far in the process still happy

Hi Paul,

Just one quick note again. I unpublished almost all website modules becaus they had a connection with J2store. After a view houers guessing I have something more stabile running! It has all updates and gives me a concrete "floor" to build the rest on. I Need to create new menus and user options.

I have one error left, can you help me with that? it is at the frontpage and says: Deprecated: json_decode(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($json) of type string is deprecated in /home/vhosts/ev-onderdelen.nl/httpdocs/templates/arino/features/logo.php on line 38
