Two weeks ago I reported that after loading the Aspacia template I got an error message on a 404 page.
The JoomShaper Support desk replied - and asked me:
Would you mind to share which type of website are you making ?
And I do not think I quite understand the question ?
The Aspacia template is basically a brochure template (it is not a store, or anything more complex than that).
We have installed the template for use as a brochure website.
This occurs before any Joomla 5 extension is added - and so the site is not yet being used for anything.
The error occurs if I add the standard Joomla log in module to the home page, with the Aspasia template activated.
See it here: https://dev.afpo.org.uk/index.php
The error message that arises is:
Failed opening required
'/home/simon_wc/apps/simon_afpo_dev/components/com_users/helpers/route.php' (include_path='.:/opt/remi/php82/root/usr/share/pear:/opt/remi/php82/root/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php')
See it here: https://dev.afpo.org.uk/index.php
Our understanding is that this error occurs when the template has not been upgraded to work with Joomla 5 extensions and is therefore looking for something that existed in Joomla 3 but does not exist in Joomla 4 or Joomla 5.
The error does not occur when using the standard Cassiopeia template.
I spent 199$ with Joomshaper at the start of May and yet here - almost at the very end of May, I still cannot make a template work - and the project I am working on is now running late.
If these templates cannot be made to work with Joomla 5 - and are therefore not now fit for purposes, then please advise me how to obtain a refund. I require Joomla 5 compliant templates which I understood these to be.
WHAT I would prefer however, is a rapid answer to the problem I have reported.
