SP Page Builder 3 To 5 (user Experience Feedback)

I really loved SP Page Builder 3. The ease, it was simple and it was simple enough for my clients to edit their own sites. Now we've been using SP Page builder for several months, all of my clients are complaining that it's too hard. FYI, my clients do not build out lots of new pages, but just edit their sites.

I am reverting them back to SP Page Builder 3, but I have a few questions.

  1. How long do you think SP Page Builder 3 will be supported for bugs, and or more importantly, stay compatible with future PHP version releases?

  2. Existing sites built with SP Page Builder 3, when I did update them to SPPB 5, some of the elements previously built with SPPB3 are not working correctly. It's mainly elements built with UK which my template "templazza / jollyanny" did have some sppb3 elements specific for them that I believe they did add in. This might be more of a template issue, but wondered if anyone else were experiencing similar issues.

  3. If I revert back from SPPB 5 to SPPB 3, would I expect any issues with what's already built?

  4. Do you plan to have a simple editor coming out anytime soon. I think SPPB 5 is great and I appreciate what you've done with 5, but it's for experts and my clients are non tech savvy people and just need something really easy like SPPB 3.

Thanks

Hi there!

Thanks for expressing your detailed insights, appreciation and thanks for being with us. I'm trying to answer your queries.

  1. Unfortunately, SPPB 3 support has ended already.
  2. If you named the elements, then it would be better to answer this. However, asking your template provider about it is good anyway.
  3. It's not recommended, as SPPB 3 support has ended already, and we will not release any update for SPPB 3. As Joomla releasing new versions and SPPB 3 not so there might be many issues about compatibility.
  4. If you let us know, which parts are difficult for your clients, then I will convey them to my team for review.

Best Regards
