Cannot Get Sticky Menu To Work

I've made a slight modification to the layout of the header. Now, I can't get the sticky menu to work either through the template settings or by modifying the header's position changing it to sticky temporarily.

I added another column to the top bar in the header and created custom css styles for the header. I did not use a preset header.

Hi,

Well, you can activate the predefined header and then with the help of custom CSS you can change the top value of it. If still doesn't work, let me know.

Yes, I know it works with the predefined header. I may have to go back to that, but I liked my changes.

There was no going back. The headers were totally messed up--duplicate rows, mixed styles. My solution was to rename the template and install the template again.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that. I thought you want this with the predefined header!

How can I help you now?

I wanted to modify the header to add a third column to the top bar to contain search. That was easy as was setting the styles for the layout rather than the preset styles. However, the sticky menu would not work. The predefined layouts were all corrupted by the changes I had made. Very strange. I could not revert to an original layout and get the sticky menu to work again. My alternative was to rename the template and reload the orginal Helix layout and use the predefined header. Sticky menu works then.

It's not a critical problem, but I hope you enable people to change the layout without corrupting the header code.

Hi,

Thanks for your explanation.

Where did you made changes? In header code?

However, did you follow this?

I made changes in the layout options in the template settings. I did not write any code. I made similar style settings in the template options for layouts as well.
