Helix 3 Layout: Can't Change Columns Any More. My Mistake!

Good afternoon everybody

I made an error.

After changing the columns in a layout-row I clicked a checkmark in a pop-up screen. (something like: don't ask me again)

Bad mistake: The result is that the pop-up in which I could set and change the width of module positions does not longer appear and I can't change anything.

Even worse: I can't locate where to un-error my mistake.

Plz help?

Dick

Hi Dick,

Could you clarify what issue you're currently facing as a result of this change? For example:

  • Are you unable to adjust the width of module positions because the pop-up no longer appears?
  • Is there a specific feature or functionality that's no longer working as expected?
  • Have you noticed any impact on the layout or design of your project because of this issue?

Understanding the specific challenges will help narrow down the best solution for your situation. Let me know more details, and I'll assist you further!

Good morning Atick.

Yes, exactly: I was unable to adjust the width of module positions because the pop-up no longer appears.

The impact on the layout or design of my project because of this issue is that I could not change the width of the modules. More specific: I could not change 8,4 into 7,5 or 9,3

BUT

This morning I dared to use the button "default" which is on the left. (after making an Akeeba)

The "default" repaired my error. Everything works again!

Thank you for the time to look into this.

I hope someone else can use my solution

Dick

Good morning, Dick,

Thank you for sharing your experience and the solution you discovered. It's great to hear that using the "Default" button resolved the issue and restored functionality, allowing you to adjust the module widths as needed.

Your proactive approach, especially backing up with Akeeba before making changes, is commendable and serves as a valuable example for others encountering similar challenges. I'm confident your solution will help others facing the same situation.

If you need any further assistance in the future, feel free to reach out. Wishing you continued success with your project!

Best regards, Atick
