Class "JResponse" Not Found

I am upgrading a 3.10 site to 4.4. I have deactivated all extensions prior to upgrade and am activating one extension at a time.

Now I get the error: Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Application\AdministratorApplication::isAdmin(). I have followed Brian Teeman's instructions on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO9nmdsLlFw, but after two changes from isAdmin to isClient('Admin') I get the error: Class "JResponse" not found. The error is related to SP Cookie Consent, but I do not know how I solve the problem.

Could you please help?

Hi Bibbi,

In general, we don't help with Joomla upgrade process, we have blog post about that topic.

Tip #1: You can delete SP Cookie Consent plugin folder (using FTP):

plugins/system/spcookieconsent

That you probably forgot to update to new version before Joomla 3>4 upgrade. Hmm?

Tip #2: Recover website from backup. Then disable all extra installed plugins, except Helix3 / Helix Ultimate plugin. Then make upgrade process again.

All extensions that you have installed may cause problems, if you forgot to update to new version or current version does not support J4. Yes, you have to check them one by one. That's why that process is not always easy and can be expensive.

Thanks for your answer. I am aware that you do not help with upgrades, but as the error mentioned SP Cookie Consent, I thought that you might know what was wrong. I have downloaded all the newest versions of the extensions, but I had not yet installed/activated the cookie consent. However, deleting the folder via FTP solved the problem. Thanks!
