I had a problem with Helix Ultimate so i uninstalled it and then installed a fresh copy. Now I am trying to set up a style and I am getting this message:- Default Layout file is not exists! Please goto to template manager and create a new layout first.

2 questions:

  1. How do you create a layout? 2.Does this imply that there is a corruption somewhere?

I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling helix ultimate 3 times but the same problem keeps happening. i deleted all the helix ultimate files in file manager just in case it was not uninstalling properly.

I just can't see how to create a default layout file - nor where to save it to.

Hi Thanks for replying. I think I have found the cause - my database was corrupt. I am busy rebuilding it now but if I still have problems with helix once I am finished, then I will get in touch with you on this forum page.
Best regards

I have not found the root of the problems I have been having with helix Ultimate. The sticky header is not working now. Chances are if you try to reinstall the zip file, you will get back to the layout problem in my first post on the thread.

Hello Charles Southgate,

Apolozy for the inconvenience caused with our product. Upon investigating the sticky header issue, it appears that a third-party extension is being used for the header. The sticky header functionality in Helix Ultimate relies on a combination of custom JavaScript and CSS files. Unfortunately, the third-party extension is preventing the necessary JavaScript from loading properly.

If you wish to use a third-party extension, I recommend choosing one that includes its own sticky header functionality to avoid such conflicts. Alternatively, disabling the third-party extension and relying on the built-in sticky header feature of Helix Ultimate should resolve the issue. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
