Besides FA is not a script, but Font, almost like Arial, Tahoma etc., but it includes graphic icons not typical letters.

I also live in EU and even offical sites uses FA loaded from their server/sites. Helix and SPPB also can load FA files but from the same resource as rest of the Joomla files.

Although I will agree that sometimes certain components loaded FA from external sources. But not ours.

I will suprice you even more. In Joomla 4.4.10 those Joomla core files: media\system\css\joomla-fontawesome.css and media\system\css\joomla-fontawesome.min.css
