SP Page Builder PRO Issue - 404 Page Not Found

Hello,

I have this error "404 Page Not Found" when I want to edit any page with SP Page Builder PRO frontend editor.

The home page of the actual site is the only page that works, all other pages that use SP Page Builder does not work.

I recently had my hosting site upgrade my database from version 5 to 8.

Joomla! 4.4.0 PHP Version 8.0.41-32 SP Page Builder PRO Version 5.5.2

I think this is specifically an SP Page builder issue as i have another site that works just fine. The only difference is SP Page Builder PRO Version 5.3.0

Ok so i figured it out, if anyone may encounter this issue.

Check SEF URL Settings:

  • If your site uses Search Engine Friendly URLs (SEF), go to:
  • System > Global Configuration > SEO Settings
  • Try disabling "Use URL Rewriting" temporarily and test if pages load.

Solution:

  • Ensure Your .htaccess File is Correct
  • In your Joomla root folder, you should see a file named htaccess.txt.
  • Rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess (if it isn’t already).
