Hello,

I have this error "404 Page Not Found" when I want to edit any page with SP Page Builder PRO.

I previously had the SP Page Builder Lite and upgraded it to PRO along with everything else that needed updating.

Example: https://prnt.sc/7eEKeIIgcjzk

Something I tried is this:

When I disable Search Engine Friendly URLs (SEF https://prnt.sc/wbqvuw) from the Global Configuration I can edit the pages normally.

I use:

  • Joomla! 3.10.11
  • PHP Version 7.4.30
  • Helix Ultimate 2.0.11
  • SP Page Builder PRO Version 4.0.5

Could someone help me? Thank you.

Hi there!

Sorry for the inconvenience.

SEF actually doing a routing task using different alias.

So, if turning on SEF cause you issue then any of the following may be the reason.

  1. Routing issue in your component. If SEF isn’t causing any issue to your end then the component is alright.
  2. May be user is using any url rewriting plugin or changed something in their .htaccess file. It’s server related issue and not in our support range.

You may check the related documentation links too:

Thanks for your reply,

Hello, i had the same problem. In the route66 component i only diabled the canonical links and the 301 redirects and it worked. The canonical link you can activate in the SEF plugin by entering the domain url.

Best regards.

I have the same problem, but I do not use any of the listed extensions. Any ideas what else could cause this ? I have some extensions from RS-Joomla. I also use multilingual site. The page in question, for example opens fine on the front-end, but not in the SPPB editor :-(

Bit late to the game - I know, but I also had this issue.

The fix for me was checking the .htaccess file on the server. It had been edited and wasn't the default file usually installed with Joomla.

I replaced this with a default .htaccess file (or you can delete the old one and rename htaccess.tct to .htaccess) and that solved the issue for me.
