Installation Error

Could not connect to the database. Connector returned error message: No such file or directory

This is the error I received when I tried to install. Please help me.

Hi Sylvia,

  1. Install what exactly? Quickstart or Joomla itself ?
  2. Are you 100% sure that you used correct database data during installation. Must be 1:1, even small typo mistake, will not allows you to install Joomla (or quickstart that include joomla itself).
  3. Are you Joomla Beginner? Or just Bad day, no luck?

Your error means that Joomla cannot establish a connection to the database that should be created before installation.
