BUG - Slideshow With Video

SP Page Builder 6 months ago

dear team,

we have joomla 5.2.5 with Page Builder 5.5.4 installed. also we use for example on the home site a slideshow with video and images. if i put the slideshow on first slide, there is some glitch which is always returning back to 2nd slid, which is an image. if i put the video on any other slides than the first one, everything works as expected. you could take a look at the site here: https://neu.weissensee-schifffahrt.at/de/ but you also need basic-auth (see hidden content) could you tell me how to solve this glitch because we want the video on the first slide.

cheers daniel

Apologies for the inconvenience. I have checked your site, and everything appears to be working fine on my end. However, I may be missing something.

Could you provide a screen recording of the issue? This would help me better understand the behavior and identify a possible solution.

Looking forward to your response.

Apologies for the inconvenience and the delayed response.

We've noticed that your website is frequently returning 500 errors, which significantly increases the loading time and affects performance.

To assist you better, I’ve recreated the slideshow using all your provided content. Everything is now working perfectly. I’ve included the URL to the updated page in the hidden content section—please have a look and let me know your feedback.

Best regards

The slideshow you're referring to is the same one used on your site—as it was originally exported from your own installation. The primary issue appears to be related to your server performance. While checking your site, I encountered frequent 500 internal server errors, which could be affecting the loading and overall functionality.

I recommend contacting your hosting provider to investigate and resolve the server-related issues. Once the server is stable, everything should function as expected.

ok, i will contact my provider and check the 500 issue you mentioned (i have not got 500 on this site at all).

but to be honest, i don't think this will resolve the problem, because the slides are skipped and when normaly for example the second slide should be shown, the third one is shorly shown and then a still image of the first one (video). and you also read my message that if i put the video on the second position, everythings works as expected?

my provider told me, that he has fixed some possible causes for the 500er messages but still same problem with the slides. could you take a second look?

Please check the hidden content. Check is the video from your server running smoothly or is it buffering.

the video is running smoothly without buffering for both sources. but the video buffering is not the problem and even if the video shakes it is not the main concern of this issue.

the main problem is that the slides are not shown properly, some are skipped in the littel previews below and the main slide is skipping or showing the next slide for 1/2 second and then a still image of the video, etc. but for this i have you already provided a screenvideo?! i don't hope the 11 answers before have not been for nothing? to avoid wasting any more unnecessary time i have created the screen video again, see attached.

the problem don't happen if the video is not on the first slide but the customer want's it on first slide.
