Hi there,

Following up on thread "After Installed Quickstart Post Installation is Not Resetting" (https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/6713#).

This issue is still unresolved after more than 3 years!

Can someone from the Joomshaper staff:

  1. Give us a timepath to the proper solution of this issue after more than 3 years?
  2. Give us a good workaround (read: manual) to solve this issue in the database?
1.- If you do not have access to the database, J5 shows a dropdown list to select the meessages from "Joomla CMS System" or "211" or whatever. Please see screen capture: prnt.sc/WsqoV9INTBLd

All my installs have the same issue and some of them shows the dropdown list, but some of them don't:

I am explaining it. Check the ID number shown on the URL of Post Installation page. Then go to xxxxx_postinstall_messages table and check your Extension ID. If the IDs are different, then update it to the ID shown on the URL. If both IDs are same, then you will be able to reset or hide Post Installation messages.

Use your site address instead of domain.com Then you can reset the messages. I will talk to the team to fix the issue on the next release.

Hi Ofi,

Thanks for your reply, but your solution doesn't work and results in a 404 page. After trying a normal reset the messages of our url ends at: /administrator/index.php?option=com_postinstall&eid=227. So 227 instead of 211, but also this doesn't work.

Please offer a clear manual to get rid of this behaviour until the dev team have fixed this.

What I've never understood is why Joomshaper doesn't simply use the default EID that Joomla sets up. This is really awkward, and I don't see this behavior with amy other template provider.
