PostgreSQL Can't Install Quickstart Package

I'm trying to install the quickstart package of the Yamas template and in all my other joomla sites the database is MySQL. There is no option for MySQL in the install package. My server does not have Postgresql. I therefore cannot install it. Is there not an option for MySQL?

Look down (Create a new page, and then Import page by page)

unzip may be needed.

Hello Jo,

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in our response. Our team was unavailable over the weekend, and we are now addressing your query with priority.

Regarding the installation issue, the behavior you are experiencing is related to the server environment rather than the template itself. Our quickstart packages utilize the standard Joomla core installer, which automatically detects your server's capabilities and displays the database options that are supported by your server's PHP configuration. The absence of a MySQL option indicates that the necessary PHP extension is likely not enabled on your hosting account.

To confirm this, you can perform a simple test by installing a clean, blank version of Joomla:

  1. Download the latest Joomla package directly from the official site: https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla5/5-3-2
  2. Attempt to install it on your server.
  3. During the installation, check if the MySQL database option is available.

If the issue persists with a fresh Joomla installation, it confirms that the matter requires an adjustment to your server settings. In this case, we kindly advise you to contact your hosting provider. They can provide a prompt response and will be able to enable the required PHP extension for you.

We are confident this will resolve the matter. Please let us know if you have any further questions after speaking with your host.

Best regards

Hi, Thanks for your reply. It appears that MySQLi is not installed by default on php8 and I installed it. I have other issues with the instalation and would like to try the quickstart package for Joomla 4 Although on the template page it says it is compatible with Joomla 3 and 4 I cannot find where to download it? Thanks

Hello Jo,

Sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing. The template itself is compatible with Joomla 3, 4, and 5. However, the quickstart package is only available in Joomla 5.

Best regards

I originally bought the template thinking there was a quickstart package compatible with other versions of Joomla and although I have installed the template it looks very different from the Demo.

Would it be possible to export the Home pages from SP Pagebuilder in the Yamas template and send them to me so I can try to get my site to look like the demo?
