Helix Ultimate Template Cannot Be Edited If Another Administrator Language is Active

Hello,

The default Administrator language of my Joomla backend is Dutch. It is then possible to make changes in the Helix Ultimate template. Sometimes I switch the Administrator language from Dutch to English to figure out things that are not entirely clear. However, if I switch from Dutch to English, changes in the Helix Ultimate template are not saved. Not even if I clear the Joomla cache or switch 'Compile SCSS to CSS' off and on again in the Helix Ultimate template. If I switch the Administrator language back to Dutch, I can make changes in the Helix Ultimate template again.

Is this a bug?

Kind regards, Jeroen

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight. Can you share a screencast video about the full scenario?

Best regards,

Could you kindly grant me access to your Joomla administrator area so that I can investigate the issue you're experiencing? Prior to providing access, please ensure that you have backed up your site. Additionally, it's important to note that providing login credentials is entirely voluntary on your part; we respect your decision either way. However, if you do choose to share the login details, it would greatly expedite the resolution process. Thank you for your cooperation.

I have set up a copy site where you can figure out the problem (see hidden content). I looked at it again myself and I noticed that you can adjust something if the Dutch Administrator language is active. If you then switch to the English Administrator language, you will see that adjustment, then you can adjust it but you will not see it change in the template. If you then switch back to the Dutch Administrator language, you will see that the adjustment has been processed. But of course this is very confusing.

I see that you have now set up the website for multilingual. I am not looking for a multilingual website. Sometimes I simply switch the 'Administrator language' of the Joomla Dashboard from Dutch to English and back to Dutch because that is sometimes easier to figure things out. This always works well for different extensions but not for Helix Ultimate template. That is why I think this is a bug.

If you don't need Multilingual then you should login as Nederland laguage for the changes.

With all due respect, I don't know if you understand what the problem is. It's not a big problem if you know the workaround, but I don't think it works as it should. To save others from wasting time, I'm reporting it here on the forum. And also hoping it gets adjusted in Helix Ultimate. The bottom line is. When you edit an extension or template via the backend, it shouldn't matter which Administrator language is active.

I'm currently using Helix Ultimate 2.1.3 and Joomla 5.3.2. It seems to be resolved in these versions.
