Dynamic Content Detail Page – Zoom Into Image

Hello,

I´ve been using SPPB 5 Pro with Dynamic Content to build a website for an artist association with a collection of various artists, where each artist should have its own portfolio as a detail page, where I link their pictures from an image collection. They are now automatically layouted similar to sp simple portfolio, and I can show to each image some basic info as well. I would like be able to zoom into the images, to get a bigger image by clicking on them, as it is often done in portfolios – how can I do this? Alas I can´t share a link with you, as the site is still on my localhost.

If it is not possible to just zoom in an image in this setting, can you please explain to me how to use the sp simple portfolio within the SPPB? There I would have the ability to zoom into a picture. To my understanding the items of the sp simple portfolio are similar to the individual images of a Dynamic Content images collection. What I don´t know, is how to state which items of the sp simple portfolio should be grouped together into a layouted SP simple portfolio?

Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, when using individual image fields within Dynamic Content in SP Page Builder 5 Pro, there is currently no built-in option to open or zoom into an image on click. However, if you are using the Dynamic Content Gallery field, it does offer the functionality to enlarge images in a lightbox view upon click — this might better suit your needs for a portfolio-style presentation.

If you are interested in using SP Simple Portfolio instead, you can find detailed documentation on how to integrate SP Simple Portfolio with SP Page Builder at the following link: 🔗 SP Page Builder Integrations Documentation

Please let us know if you need any further guidance — we’re happy to help!

Best regards

Hello, thanks for your quick reply!

I successfully used with the Gallery, but the "brick" layout is a bit too much. I would rather have the airy layout of the SP simple portfolio within the SP Page Builder.

However it is critical to know whether I can somehow use the images in my dynamic content collection, or I must create new simple portfolio items? This would mean, that i´ll have to create all my content double. Even more disturbing it would mean for future projects, that part of the content will be defined in one system and part of it in another.

Thank you!
