Buy Now Function On LMS

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what I have to put in the 'Buy URL' field in the LMS for the buy now button to appear.

I've tried adding a hashtag # - but that just redirects me to the top of the page.

Is there a specific thing I need to do to enable Paypal Payments and in particular, getting the buy now button to appear?

It is not possible for Events. You can add Buy URL for SP LMS Events. Please check it on the events settings.

Hi Ofi - many thanks for looking into this.

Please find login details in the hidden content box.

Please note, I am aware of the html override's adding a hard coded link into the layout of the events on the site. I'm trying to move away from this, to setting up the native payment facility within the LMS, however, I'm not 100% sure what the 'buy' URL should be.

On the demo, it appears as though it's a hastag, but then javascript kicks in to add the products to the cart, so not sure how that works - am also aware there might be differences between events and courses.

These are SP Page Builder pages. Please use SP LMS -> Courses menu item and you will have Buy Now button.

Hi Ofi,

Whilst that's correct, yes there are some Page Builder pages the Calendar links to LMS and there's still no buy button.

https://pilatesinstituteofqueensland.com.au/calendar

I've also tested this on one of our demo sites - still the same thing. https://naturalpeppermintoil.com/quickstart/hope/index.php/lms/1-test

What's required in the 'Buy URL' field - do we need to add a hashtag, some code etc to get this to work properly?

I've looked through the documentation however, there's nothing really that tells you how to set up the payment system in the LMS - so just looking for a little guidence.

The calendar page is referring to SP LMS -> Events. There is an Enroll Now button on Event Details page.

I am confused about the issue. There is no Buy Now for the events. Instead, there is Enroll Now for the events.

Hi Ofi,

Thanks for checking in - no this issue hasn't been resovled as I'm still not sure what needs to be added to the URL field.

As you can see in this demo site with the LMS installed, This event has nothing in the Buy URL and there's no button for a user to purchase the ticket. https://naturalpeppermintoil.com/quickstart/hope/index.php/lms/1-test

What's required to add to the URL field to get this working in the native LMS payment system? Do I need to add a URL to the payment facility, there's no documentation around this.

Edit:- Ok - upon further investigation, it seems the buy now button happens automatically for courses, but not for events. I've added a course and can see the buy now button. https://naturalpeppermintoil.com/quickstart/hope/index.php/lms/lms-course/1-test-for-course

How can I get the same happening for events?

That's a shame - ok - I will have to migrate all the events over to courses to get this to work.

I will share your feedback to the team. For the future version, we will try to integrate Buy feature for Events.
